About the Author
Amber Lief is a new author, with Steam-Powered Battle-Barrels being her first published work. Having a background in theatre, storytelling and creative writing have always been some of her greatest passions, alongside animated works and video games. As a transgender woman, stories depicting LGBTQIA+ individuals as well as their lives and struggles sit at the forefront of what she wishes to bring into the world. Hard at work already on the next entry in the Battle-Barrels series, she hopes you’ll come along for the ride, be you queer yourself or a valued ally.
Hi there! Thanks so much for checking out my website! If you’ve also read or are currently reading Steam-Powered Battle-Barrels, thank you so much for that as well! This book has been a big passion of mine for a long time. I had the original idea for it over a decade ago back when I was still presenting masculine. Coming out as transgender halfway through writing a book about queer characters is probably a surprise to no one, but that just means I can safely claim at least one person came out thanks to it haha. It’s been one heck of a journey from then to the book’s launch, and we’re only just beginning! I have so much more I want to explore in that world, not to mention all the other projects I’d love to work on. There’s so much cool nerdy stuff out there that I love so much, and I want to add to it more than anything. I really appreciate your support as I continue forward and hope you have a lovely day!
